POS Demo Flow & Logins

This page tells you which demo logins exist, what each one is good for, and what to click when you want to show the POS side of the app.

Default demo password: Demo@12345
Quick login note: all seeded demo accounts use the same password unless your team changed the demo config.
If a demo step fails: open POS Errors & Fixes. It explains the common store, terminal, stock, refund, exchange, and payment messages in simple English.
Important: if your team changed the demo config, the password or accounts may be different. The details below match the current demo config file.

Demo logins

Admin
  • Email: admin@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: full app walkthrough.
  • What you can show: all stores, all counters, setup pages, approvals, dashboard, POS, reports, and settings.
Operations Manager
  • Email: ops.manager@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: head-office style POS review.
  • What you can show: manager approvals, main store activity, and cross-store operational flow.
North Store Manager
  • Email: north.manager@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: store-manager view for North branch.
  • What you can show: North branch counters, sessions, approvals, and branch-level manager work.
South Store Manager
  • Email: south.manager@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: store-manager view for South branch.
  • What you can show: South branch manager flow, approvals, and daily branch follow-up.
North Cashier
  • Email: north.cashier@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: cashier-only selling flow.
  • What you can show: how a cashier sees only their branch and terminal work.
South Cashier
  • Email: south.cashier@ovion.tech
  • Use this for: second cashier account for branch comparison.
  • What you can show: branch-scoped cashier flow in another store.

Main demo branch setup
  • Main Experience Store: main flagship demo branch.
  • North Care Branch: branch for North manager and North cashier demos.
  • South Wellness Branch: branch for South manager and South cashier demos.
  • Main Counter Terminal / Main Service Desk: main-store counters.
  • North Counter A / North Supervisor Desk: North branch counters.
  • South Counter A / South Supervisor Desk: South branch counters.

Best click path for a demo

Simple flow
  1. Login as admin@ovion.tech if you want to show everything.
  2. Open POS Overview first so the person knows what pages exist.
  3. Open POS Payments & Card Machine if you want to explain how cashless proof works.
  4. Open POS Terminal and show store, terminal, and session selection.
  5. Open Sales History and one completed sale.
  6. Open Customers, Customer Groups, Pricing, Coupons, and Loyalty Rules.
  7. Open Register Sessions and Drawer Reconciliation.
  8. Open Manager Inbox and Branch Replenishment.
  9. Finish with Analytics or End of Day.

How to demo card machine

Best login for this demo
  • Simple choice: north.cashier@ovion.tech
  • If you want all pages too: admin@ovion.tech
  • Password: Demo@12345
What to say during the demo
  • The branch uses a real card machine outside the app.
  • After the machine approves, POS asks for safe proof only.
  • The receipt and history show masked details, not raw sensitive card data.
Simple demo steps
  1. Login with the cashier account.
  2. Open POS Terminal and add an item.
  3. Select Card Machine.
  4. Show the popup.
  5. Enter a sample auth code, last 4 digits, expiry, and brand.
  6. Finish the sale and open the receipt.
Demo truth: the demo does not talk to a real bank terminal. The popup stands in for the approved machine result.

Which login to use for what

Use admin when
  • You want the fastest full walkthrough.
  • You want setup pages and operational pages in one login.
  • You want to compare multiple stores quickly.
Use manager or cashier when
  • You want to prove branch-level access control.
  • You want to show that managers and cashiers do not see the same thing.
  • You want a more realistic daily-operations demo.

Important demo notes

Things worth telling the reviewer
  • The demo is not only one cashier screen. It includes sales, returns, exchanges, pricing, registers, manager approvals, branch stock movement, and analytics.
  • Different logins are meant to show different roles, not only different people.
  • If demo auto-reset is enabled in your environment, data changes may be cleared on the reset schedule.
